In addition, these resistors are particularly well suited to applications which require<strong> strong tension<\/strong> (<strong> constant<\/strong> and <strong>temporary<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<h3>THE RESISTANT THREAD<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The wire diameter of the<strong> canvas<\/strong> can vary from 0.3 to 2mm. Different<strong> alloys<\/strong> are available as standard (from<strong> Constantan<\/strong> having a temperature coefficient equal to zero to alloys of type<strong> stainless steel<\/strong> or to<strong> iron-chrome-aluminum alloys<\/strong> ). The distance P (fig. 1) varies depending on the nature and diameter of the wire and is generally between 1 and 5 mm.<\/p>\n<h3>THE CHAIN WIRE<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is used to maintain the<strong> resistant wire<\/strong> without altering the<strong> heat exchange coefficient<\/strong> . A <strong>class-E<\/strong> <strong>glass<\/strong> <strong>fiber<\/strong> is offered as a standard model. This material has the following advantages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>resistance to high temperatures:\n<ul>\n<li>above 300 \u00b0 C in continuous service<\/li>\n<li>above 400 \u00b0 C in limited service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Low <strong>linear thermal expansion<\/strong> coefficient: the length of the sheets varies very little under the action of temperature, which facilitates<strong> fixation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>excellent resistance to <strong>mechanical traction<\/strong> <strong>constraints<\/strong>while hot<\/li>\n<li>good resistance to pollution (except fluorine pollution)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A wide range of materials (cotton,<strong> kevlar<\/strong> , fiber<strong> silica<\/strong> ) is available for specific applications.<\/p>\n<h3>DIMENSIONS AND ASSEMBLY OF ELEMENTS<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fabrics are available in 2 standard widths: 160 and 250mm. However, the technique of <strong>weaving<\/strong> allows to adapt to all constraints. The end bands are used for fastening and can also help with the<strong> electrical insulation<\/strong> .<br \/>\nWe usually use two different arrangements (fig. 2).
