Being there for backup power Loadbanks in China
METAL DEPLOYE RESISTOR
This load bank is installed in an emergency substation composed of three generator sets which supply energy to Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant. The loadbank is used to load the generator sets during periodic tests. The aim of these tests is to ensure the good working of generator sets in case of power cuts. The loadbank have been specially adapted to work in a nuclear power plan. Loadbanks are used to test proper working of the gensets on periodic basis to ensure it will perform well in cas of emergency. Loadbanks are also used to reduce the ‘wet stacking’ issue in diesel engines when the generator is operating at low load. In addition, it is also standard practice to use power resistors as loadbanks to maintain batteries in electrical laboratories, industrial testing facilities and in telecommunications facilities.
MDR’s resistive and inductive loadbanks allow a power variation between 0.8 and 1. Remote Control or local control facility are available in fixed and portable applications on any load banks. Some models of loadbanks feature Horizontal Forced Air Cooling (HFAC) with power available from 50 to 1200 kW in 10 kW steps. These units feature a low-noise helical fan with motor rated to IP54.
